Lucky Cola first introduced login card games in 2005 as a way to promote customer loyalty. The initial game was called “Instant Win” and allowed customers to scratch off virtual cards after logging into their Lucky Cola Login account to reveal prizes like free soda or coupons.
In 2007, Lucky Cola revamped its login game to have more features. The new game was called “Collect and Win.” Customers could now collect virtual game pieces each time they logged in. Different rarities of game pieces would unlock different prizes. This gamified approach led to a 23% increase in return customers over the next year.
A major upgrade happened in 2012 when Lucky Cola debuted its first story-based login game, “Lucky Adventure.” As customers logged in over the month, an animated story would unfold with interactive mini games and quests. The finale had expensive grand prizes for top scoring players. Surveys found the story element made customers 2x more engaged.
With the rise of smartphones and apps in recent years, Lucky Cola has invested more in mobile login games. 2016’s “Level Up” had colorful tower defense battles right in the app. Completing levels earned discounts and deals that year. In 2021, Lucky Cola was a launch partner for augmented reality (AR) glasses, releasing an acclaimed 3D looking “Adventure Land” game for that platform.
Most recently in 2022, Lucky Cola experimented with a play-to-earn model in beta for “Lucky Riches”, allowing obsessive players to unlock and trade rare NFT soda cans. This controversial feature led to a vocal minority of loyalists accounting for over 50% of sales that summer, showing the power of cutting-edge login games.
